1. Components of the KPO Clamp Rail Fastening System
The KPO clamp rail fastening system is designed to fix rails firmly to railway sleepers or base plates. A typical set consists of KPO clips, screw spikes, HS bolts, hex nuts, double spring washers, and a base plate. The KPO clips apply clamping force to the rail foot, while the screw spikes and HS bolts secure the assembly to the sleeper. Hex nuts and spring washers help maintain tightening force and resist loosening under vibration. The base plate distributes load, supports the rail seat, and helps keep the rail in a stable position.

2. Working Principle and Production Process
During installation, the base plate is positioned on the sleeper, and the rail is fixed by KPO clips on both sides. The fastening force is generated by tightening bolts, nuts, washers, and screw spikes, which hold the rail foot against the base plate. This structure helps resist vertical uplift, lateral movement, and vibration during train operation, forming a stable and maintainable rail connection.
KPO clamp fastening components are usually produced separately and supplied as a complete set. Steel clips, bolts, nuts, washers, and screw spikes are manufactured through forming, threading, heat treatment, surface treatment, and inspection. Base plates may be made from cast iron or forged steel according to project requirements. Key production controls include dimensional accuracy, mechanical strength, corrosion protection, assembly fit, and compliance with relevant railway standards.
3. Applications
The KPO clamp rail fastening system is widely used on ballasted railway tracks, industrial sidings, crane rails, and other track structures requiring reliable rail fixation. It can be adapted for common rail types such as UIC54, UIC60, 50 kg rail, 60 kg rail, and S49 rail. With selectable clip types, screw spike sizes, bolt specifications, and base plate materials, the system can meet different load, maintenance, and installation requirements.
